Terms of Service

Effective July 21, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Infoblazer LLC, the company behind ChartBlazer ("we", "us"), governing your use of ChartBlazer: Drums — the chart editor, playback, setlists, printing, and the community — at chartblazer.com and related apps (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them.

1. Your account

You need an account to create charts. Keep your credentials to yourself; you're responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age to consent to online services where you live). Give us accurate information — in particular an email address you control, since verification and account recovery run through it.

2. Your charts are yours

You own the charts, setlists, markup, and other content you create on the Service. Private charts stay private: we don't read, publish, or license them to anyone, and we access them only to operate the Service (storage, backups, rendering, support you've asked for). Charts you share with specific people are visible to those people for as long as you share them.

3. Sharing a chart — the community license

Sharing a chart is a deliberate act with legal effect. You share a chart either by making it public, or by sharing it privately with specific people — the same license applies to both, and differs only in who it reaches. When you share a chart, you keep ownership, and you grant:

  • to ChartBlazer: a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, and adapt the chart (including format conversion, rendering, playback, and printing) for operating and promoting the Service;
  • to the people you shared it with — every ChartBlazer user if you published it, or only the people you named if you shared privately: a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to view, play, print, and clone the chart — creating a derivative copy they may edit and use as their own within the Service, including publishing their derivative under these same terms.

These licenses are unlimited in scope and duration for the copies they cover: taking a chart private again, removing someone's access, or deleting it stops new views and new clones, but clones already made remain with their owners, licensed as above. Clones credit the source chart. Publishing requires a verified email address.

No selling other people's charts. The community license is for use within the Service. You may sell or commercially license only charts that are your own original work — you may not sell, rent, or commercially redistribute another user's chart, or a clone or derivative of one, on or off the Service. Community charts and viewing them are available to signed-in users; the public browse listing shows chart details without requiring an account.

4. Respect other people's work

You're responsible for what you chart. A drum chart of a song's structure, feel and grooves is your own expression — that's the whole point of the Service. Third-party material you type into one is not: song lyrics especially belong to their writers and publishers, and there is no safe word count.

So the Cues column is for cues: a short fragment that tells you where you are in the song, not the verse itself. Keep it to what you need to play from. By publishing a chart, or sharing it with specific people, you confirm that the content is yours to share — your own work, or something you have the right to distribute. Don't paste in sheet music, another site's chart, or someone else's transcription.

If you believe content on the Service infringes your rights, tell us and we'll review it and, where appropriate, remove it — see Copyright & takedowns for what to send and what happens next. Notices go to our designated agent, Copyright Agent, Infoblazer LLC, at copyright@infoblazer.com; the agent is registered with the U.S. Copyright Office and the full designation, including postal address and telephone number, is in the Office's public directory. Unpublishing a chart returns it to being private in its owner's account; we remove charts from public view rather than from someone's library. Accounts that repeatedly publish other people's material lose the ability to publish and may be closed.

Counter-notices. If we removed something of yours and you believe it came down through a mistake or a misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to the same address. To count as a counter-notice it must include all of the following:

  • your physical or electronic signature;
  • identification of the material that was removed, and where it appeared on the Service before it came down;
  • a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification;
  • your name, address, and telephone number; and
  • a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the United States federal district court for the district where you live — or, if you're outside the United States, any district in which we may be found — and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the takedown notice, or their agent.

We forward valid counter-notices to whoever complained. Unless they tell us they've gone to court to stop you using the material, we may restore it 10 to 14 business days after we forward it. Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing — or that it was removed by mistake — can make you liable for the other side's damages and legal costs, so neither a notice nor a counter-notice is something to file casually.

5. Community conduct

Comments exist to make charts better. No harassment, spam, or unlawful content. Chart owners can turn comments off and delete comments on their charts; our moderators can hide or remove content and restrict accounts that abuse the community. Reporting a comment flags it for review.

6. Plans, trials, and billing

The free plan is genuinely free: up to 25 charts with the core feature set. Pro adds capacity and conveniences. New verified accounts get a time-limited Pro trial without a payment card. If a trial or subscription ends, your charts remain yours and remain editable — you just can't create beyond the free limit until you're under it or subscribed. Billing terms are presented at checkout.

Plans can change — paid time is locked. We may change prices, plan contents, and subscription terms at any time. For a paid subscription, changes never take effect mid-term: what you subscribed to stays as-is for the period you've already paid for, and changes apply from your next renewal — with notice before you're first charged under them. The free plan and trials carry no such lock and may change at any time. Either way, no change retroactively removes charts you've already created.

"Free forever" is about price, not permanence. Where we describe the free plan as free forever, we mean we won't start charging you for it — not that the Service is guaranteed to operate in perpetuity. No software can honestly promise that. If we ever discontinue the Service or materially reduce the free plan, we'll give reasonable advance notice — at least 60 days where practicable — and keep printing available through that period so you can take your charts with you.

7. Third-party services

Reference-track links embed players from YouTube or Spotify; those load from the provider and are governed by the provider's own terms. We don't host or distribute the recordings.

8. Leaving, and being asked to leave

You can stop using the Service at any time and can request deletion of your account and content. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, that create legal risk, or as required by law; where reasonable we'll tell you why and give you a chance to put it right first. Sections 3 (licenses already granted), 9, and 10 survive termination.

Chart hoarding is grounds for termination — on any plan. Charts are meant to be charts: real songs, including works in progress. Mass-creating empty, duplicate, or placeholder charts to bank capacity — for example, subscribing briefly to stockpile blank charts beyond the free limit — is abuse of the Service whether you're on the free plan, a trial, or Pro. We may remove plainly placeholder charts after notice to you, and may suspend or terminate accounts that create charts primarily to game plan limits. Genuine charting is never at risk under this clause; artificial bulk libraries are.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We work hard to keep the Service reliable and your data safe, but we can't promise uninterrupted or error-free operation — export or print anything you can't afford to be without.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChartBlazer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. For material changes we'll give notice (for example by email or an in-app banner) before they take effect; continuing to use the Service after that is acceptance. The effective date above always reflects the current version.
